I really liked your piece. It seemed honest and was quite poetic—and it resonated with me.

I, too, have thought a lot about this and have concluded that it doesn’t sit well with me. I don’t believe in followers (quantity) over readers (quality) but have to admit that I’ve played the game a bit to remain behind the paywall. On a more positive note, I’ve since vowed to make 2022 count and will use this minor “integrity setback” to fuel the fire that is honest and forever uncompromising writing.
