People in general are inclined to moral selectiveness for which they make up by half-assing it for a (trending) cause. Probably more so today when it takes minimal effort to hop on a bandwagon online and take up arms on Twitter; or add a flag of a war-torn country to their avatars to show how virtuous they are even though they couldn’t point it out on a world-map.
