I believe the author may be deliberately trying to provoke a reaction with his choice of words. By comparing using Ko-fi as "begging" and comparing it to being "homeless," he‘s likely aiming to stir up engagement among Medium writers. Other than that, there isn't much substance to the piece.

Also, based on some of the comments, he seems uninterested in arguing his point with anyone who respectfully disagrees. That seems a bit disingenuous. 🤷🏼‍♂️
